The article analyses the sources of financing terrorism in South East Asia, that could be subdivided into several categories. Self-financing is the most important source of financing terrorism that poses the actual threat to regional security. NPO could also provide the channel for transferring financial resources to terrorists. Financial resources to terrorists in South East Asia may be transferred from foreign supporters. At present there is only single evidence of ISIS providing financial support to terrorists in South East Asia. The author notes that terrorists usage of different sources and channels of financing their activity presents the challenges for effective combating this threat and dictate the urgent necessity for states and private structures to cooperate.
