The monography presents the results of conceptual and empirical analysis of the phenomenon of separatism in ethno-political conflicts in a context of regional integration using the example of the European Union. The research focuses on the experience of three EU member states – Belgium, Italy, and Spain. This experience is illustrative from the point of view of typology and trends towards transformation of the nation-state model in a context of the European integration, effective management of ethno-political conflicts, instruments and practices of identity politics.
