Rubric:

Multinational companies, expanding within their macroregion, are prevailing due to low transport costs, high level of awareness of potential partners as well as lack of cultural and language barriers. The article emphasizes the dramatic expansion of national multinationals worldwide. The geography of their promotion is analyzed relying on the statistics of the Central Bank of the Russian Federation as well as on the research results of the Institute of World Economy and International Relations RAN, which made up a top list of leading Russian corporations in 2011.
