This issue of “Global development” was prepared on the basis of materials of intercollegiate scientific conference, which took place 04/18/2008 in IMEMO RAN. It was organized by IMEMO Association of young scientists, which unites experts in economics and international relations. Articles of the book are representing not only researchers from IMEMO RAS, but also from Institute of economy RAS, Institute of Europe RAS and others. The issue starts with articles that deal with problems of an economic interaction at post-soviet area. It is concentrated in particular on a situation in stock markets of CIS, FDI specificity at banking area and industrial sector, foreign-trade interaction‘s features (by example of main countries at post-soviet area – Russia and Ukraine), labour migration. Political scientist’s articles are dedicated to main international conflicts that came
into existence in connection with intensified political-economic competition at the ex-soviet regions. Researchers pay attention to the internal preconditions of these contradictions that evolved between countries of post-soviet area, and also to interests and activity of different actor’s, which were involved into political and economic situation at the post-soviet area. The issue intends for researchers, professors, post-graduate students and reading public, which are interested in post-soviet area political and economic problems.
