The article analyzes the preliminary results of the parliamentary elections in Thailand, held in March 2019, for the first time in eight years. On the basis of the data obtained, scenarios of the political development of the country are advanced, taking into account the outlined confrontation within the society that is divided into two camps - defenders of democracy and supporters of preserving the de facto power of the military. The ambiguity of the situation lies in the fact that any possible solutions to the conflict of interest are possible - both new elections and a military coup.
