Byelorussian Capital in Foreign Markets: State-owned and Governmental Sectors / Kvashnin Jury
Despite rather conservative policy in respect of private sector, Byelorussia within the last several years has demonstrated some notable foreign investments based projects, in which national capital is also involved. These projects are being implemented not only in Russia and Ukraine, but in other countries. The article examines various aspects of the Byelorussian direct investments abroad; the author provides some examples and gives estimates of the Byelorussian presence in foreign capital markets: gives analysis of development of the product supply chains, created by the government as the tool for the supporting the export of goods. The author pays special attention to the investments of private companies, many of which have managed to reach considerable success at the expense of the transferring of the core businesses abroad because of the state monopoly prevailing in the Byelorussian market. The Author states, that the role of investors is usually played by the persons, who invest monies in the implementation of certain projects from the very start, especially in IT sphere.
