Over the last decade U.S.-Mexican relations have shown significant lack of stability in their official speeches and addresses. During Donald Trump's presidency, the blatant politicization of social problems stemming from the immigration border crisis heightened political tensions between the two countries. There were threats and wordy frays. The situation seems to have improved under Joe Biden`s administration, but no breakthrough has taken place. The author analyzes the development of political, diplomatic, military and economic ties between the United States and Mexico in order to assess their quality and possibility of future worsening. Albeit these relations are steady and deep, they are asymmetrically inclined in favor of the United States. The bilateral agenda is still cluttered with many unsettled problems.
