The article analyzes the main trends that have emerged or continued in the Arab countries in 2022. Special attention is paid to the reaction of the Middle Eastern states to the Ukrainian crisis and its impact on regional processes. The desire of the Arab world to achieve greater independence in the sphere of regional security resulted in the search for new strategic partners such as China and India, as well as expanding cooperation with Israel and normalizing relations with Turkey. Separately, it is demonstrated that the negative economic consequences of the crisis around Ukraine created new challenges to stability in the Arab world.
