The Southeast Asian countries, which have long been considered a "technological outback" and have been in secondary roles in East Asia, noticeably inferior to China and Japan, are rapidly becoming the center of attraction for the IT industry. The region is attracting more investment in digital technologies than ever before. Global IT giants are increasingly focusing on Southeast Asian countries that are favorable for doing business, with a rapidly growing talent pool and increasing revenues. Currently, two IT giants are most active in the region: Apple and Microsoft.
