In the article there are given the results of analysis of the innovative activity as an element of the military and economic preparations of the United Kingdom. There are considered the main features and trends of this activity, including the pursuing public policy in a field of innovations; financing of R&D and development of organizational structures, ensuring realization of its, also arms procurement and orders in the UK.
