In 2020, the implementation of the 13 th five-year plan for economic development (2016-2020) was completed and at the beginning of 2021, the 14th five-year plan (2021-2025) was adopted, both plans set ambitious goals to strengthen the internal demand in the country and reorientation to increase GDP not due to export of products, but the development of the domestic market. The decline in Chinese exports due to the US-China tariff war and the COVID-19 pandemic prompted the Chinese government to redirect the economy to domestic consumption. The emphasis of the Chinese government in the 14th five-year plan on further strengthening the growth rate of domestic demand shows a clear conviction that without domestic demand there will be no economic growth (the goal for 2021 is GDP growth of more than 6%), and it is necessary to look for capacity to increase GDP domestically, not abroad. This topic is extremely relevant, since in the case of successful implementation of the plans of the Chinese leadership, the structure of the PRC's economy may radically change.
