The workshop was devoted to the problems of the world agro-industrial system and agribusiness in Russia developing in the global environment. The proceedings contain a comprehensive analysis of regional, technological and other aspects of the problem. The potentialities and the scope of government support for the agro-industrial complex in Russia, as well as the place and role of TNC in it, are also analyzed. The workshop participants proposed a number of schemes to minimize the disadvantages and maximize the advantages of foreign investments in Russia’s agro-industrial sector.
At the workshop, much attention was also given to the problems of consumer cooperation in agriculture.
