On August 15, 2025, the website of the "Profile" business magazine published an article Alexander Yermakov, Junior Research Fellow of the Center for International Security of IMEMO, "Meeting Place: What is the Base Where the Putin-Trump Summit Will Be Held Known For?".
The long-awaited and potentially historic meeting of the Russian and American presidents is due to take place in Alaska in the near future. The summit will be held at Elmendorf Air Force Base (formally "Joint Elmendorf-Richardson Base" after an administrative merger in 2010 with a nearby army base).
