On July 14, 2024, Sergey Lukonin, Head of the Sector of Economy and Politics of China of the Center for Asia Pacific Studies of IMEMO, Cand. of Science (Economics), said in an exclusive interview for “Xinhua” News Agency that the main task of the Chinese economy today is to activate new growth factors.
The last issue of the MEMO Journal (No. 12, 2025) is published this year. A significant place is devoted to the problems of the global economy: articles are published on comparing the effectiveness of the economic growth of the G7 and BRICS countries; on the limitations and opportunities for Russia in the context of the global energy transition; on the impact of access to water on economic growth in Central Asian countries.
