On August 13, 2024, Ibragim Ibragimov, Research Fellow of the “Center for the Middle East Studies” Laboratory, in a commentary for the “Vedomosti” newspaper, suggests that Haniyeh's assassination could have a serious impact on the internal dynamics of Hamas, as well as on relations between the organization and other Palestinian factions, including Fatah.
