On December 17, 2024, the “Novye Izvestia” newspaper published a commentary by Yevgenii Belkov, Junior Research Fellow of the Laboratory “Center for the Middle East Studies”.
He noted that Afghanistan is now experiencing the lowest level of terrorist activity in many years. Cooperation between Russian and Afghan special services to prevent a terrorist threat from Afghanistan could be one of the most promising areas of bilateral cooperation.
