On December 18, 2024, Daria Moiseeva, Senior Researcher at the Center for European Studies of IMEMO, Cand. of Science (Politics), commented for “Izvestia” Multimedia Information Center on Hungary's position in EU-Russia relations.
Hungary is interested in maintaining friendly and business relations with Moscow, especially in the energy sector. However, being a member state of the EU, official Budapest participates in the approval of all sanctions packages against Russia, excluding from them the measures it needs.
