On October 7, 2024, Alexander Krylov, Chief Research Fellow of the Sector for the Caucasus of the Center for post-Soviet Studies of IMEMO, Dr. of Science (History), commented on further actions of Azerbaijan and the probability of escalation of the conflict in the South Caucasus to the Armenian news channel “Alpha News”. According to the expert, the further development of the situation in the South Caucasus will depend on the relations between Armenia and Russia.
