6Research Fellow for the Center for International Security of the IMEMO Dmitry Stefanovich made a report “The outer space as an area of armed conflict” in the framework of the Second Winter Space School “War and Peace in Space” of the MSU School of World politics on February 3, 2022.
He drew attention to the general trends in the militarization and in potential weaponization of outer space, to the peculiarities of the perception of threats in this area, and to the prospects for international efforts to reduce the related risks.
