Meeting of the Academic Council of IMEMO

On December 6, 2023, a meeting of the Academic Council of IMEMO will take place in the Academician Inozemtsev conference hall (3d floor).

The agenda includes:

1. Report of Victor Sumsky, Chief Research Fellow of the Center for Asia Pacific Studies of IMEMO, Dr. of Science (History), "ASEAN and the Crisis of Regionalism in East Asia".

2. Report of Mikhail Terskikh, Research Fellow of the Center of the Indo-Pacific Region of IMEMO, Cand.of Science (Politics), “ASEAN and the “strategic divorce” of the United States from the PRC.”.

3. Organizational issues.

On October 7, 2024 at 15:00 the Center for the Middle Eastern Studies will hold the next Georgy Mirsky Middle East Seminar “Socotra Studies in Russian Oriental Studies”. Professor Vitaly Naumkin, Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences, President of the Institute of Oriental Studies of the Russian Academy of Sciences, will speak at the seminar.
