The meeting of the Council of the World-Class Scientific and Educational Centers was held at the Government of the Russian Federation under the guidance of Assistant of the President of the Russian Federation Andrey Fursenko and Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Chernyshenko. Head of the Ministry of Education and Science of Russia Valery Falkov made the key report on the results of the activities of the World-Class Scientific and Educational Centers over the past year. The members of the Council were also informed by the heads of the regions on the strategic goals and the key technological projects, which are being implemented as parts of the formation of the Council of the World-Class Scientific and Educational Centers.

“At the state level, the creation of the Council of the World-Class Scientific and Educational Centers is a chance to bring the regional economy, together with the economy of the entire country, to a new level. It’s vital for us to consolidate the efforts and to develop new measures to support world-class scientific and educational centers, to pay attention not only to their successes, but also to their difficulties, in order to develop a dialogue between the scientific organizations and the real sector of the economy.This sphere must become a key one for the members of the Council for the next year, ”said Andrey Fursenko.
