18On March 29, 2022, the Second Sino-Russian scientific conference "Russia and China: joint development and modernization" was held in the format of a videoconference, dedicated to the 300th anniversary of the Russian Academy of Sciences and the 25th anniversary of the Sino-Russian Friendship, Peace and Development Committee.
Conference participants, leading Russian and Chinese scientists, discussed the experience of modernization of the two countries, the problems of development of national economies under the conditions of global systemic risks as well as possible approaches to minimizing these risks.
Academician V.V. Mikheev, Head of Scientific Direction of the Center for Asia-Pacific Studies of the Primakov Institute took part in the event.
Mikheev took part in the event and made a presentation "China: Challenges of "New Bipolarity" and Ukraine".
