26On June 9, 2025, a meeting with Ambassador of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka Shobini Gunasekera was held.
On behalf of IMEMO the meeting was attended by Feodor Voitolovsky, Director of the Institute, Dr. of Science (Politics), Corresponding Member of the Russian Academy of Sciences, and Alexey Kupriyanov, Head of the Center of the Indo-Pacific Region, Cand. of Science (History).
The parties discussed a wide range of issues, including foreign policy priorities of Russia and Sri Lanka, prospects for bilateral economic cooperation, as well as opportunities for expanding scientific ties.
