On August 19, 2023 IMEMO hosted a meeting between the staff of the Center of the Indo-Pacific Region and the delegation of the Confederation of Young Leaders of India. From the IMEMO side, Junior Research Fellows Gleb Makarevich, Ivan Zaitsev, Irina Kolgushkina and Senior Research Assistant Maria Savishcheva took part in the discussion.

The Indian side was represented by Himadrish Suwan, Chairman of the Confederation of Young Leaders, and members of the organization Prerna Singh and Shumav Gupta.

The meeting participants discussed opportunities for cooperation between IMEMO and the Confederation of Young Leaders of India, the need to develop public diplomacy institutions and increase educational and cultural exchanges, their role in reducing conflict and strengthening bilateral and multilateral relations.

The parties agreed to maintain a dialog and start developing joint initiatives for further development of Russian-Indian relations.
