Exhibition “Scientists at the Front: Contribution to Victory” in Gorky Park

On May 8, 2025, the grand opening of the exhibition “Scientists at the Front: Contribution to Victory”, dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War, took place in the Music Salon of Gorky Park. The exhibition stands present photos and biographies of scientists, including three IMEMO employees – the first Director of the Institute, Academician Anushavan Arzumanyan, Director of the Institute, Academician Nikolay Inozemtsev, Senior Researcher of IMEMO Ivan Kovalev. 

The project was initiated by the leading Russian academic institutions in order to tell about the contribution of scientists to the Great Victory and to preserve the historical truth for future generations. 

Alexandra Yakovleva, Head of the Center for Development and Modernization Studies, and Alfia Khisiamova, Head of the International Conferences Sector, made the welcoming speech from IMEMO. 

The exhibition “Scientists at the Front: Contribution to the Victory” will last until June 2, 2025 in the Gorky Central Park of Culture and Recreation. 

The exhibition is organized by the Institute of Metallurgy and Material Science of the Russian Academy of Sciences, the Institute of Philosophy of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Council of Young Scientists of the Russian Academy of Sciences and Gorky Park with the support of IMEMO, A. M. Obukhov Institute of Atmospheric Physics of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Research Institute of General Pathology and Pathophysiology, D. I. Mendeleev Russian University of Chemical Technology.
