40The last issue of the MEMO Journal (No. 12, 2025) is published this year. A significant place is devoted to the problems of the global economy: articles are published on comparing the effectiveness of the economic growth of the G7 and BRICS countries; on the limitations and opportunities for Russia in the context of the global energy transition; on the impact of access to water on economic growth in Central Asian countries.
The heading "Security problems in the modern world" includes analytical materials on topical issues of arms control, on source open code software as a unique international process. The topic of the Middle East is touched upon in articles about the evolution of the American policy of "soft power" in this region; the change in the Iranian proxy strategy against the backdrop of weakening of traditional partners.
The post-Soviet section is entirely devoted to Central Asia and contains articles about the "Turkishness" factor in Uzbekistan's foreign policy and the role of water resources in the geopolitical situation in the region.
The China section contains articles about Russia's place in Northeast China's development strategies and China's views on the transformation of the European security architecture in the face of turbulence. The problems of economic theory are discussed in the article on modern approaches to the typology of capitalist systems.
