On October 10-11, 2024, Tomsk State University hosted the VIII All-Russian Conference with International Participation “Slavic World in the Context of Modern Challenges”.
Scientists from Russia, Kazakhstan and Moldova took part in the conference, presenting reports on the study of the problems of Slavic community, culture and processes of nation-building in the Slavic world, as well as assessments of the political challenges of our time.
On October 11, Tatiana Popadeva, Research Fellow of the Center for Comparative Socio-Economic and Political Studies of IMEMO, Cand. of Science (Politics), delivered a report “Development Policy through the Prism of Slavic Identity: Comparative Analysis of Political Discourses in Serbia and Croatia”, speaking about the influence of Slavic macro-political identity on the processes of political development of Serbian and Croatian societies.
