54On December 16, 2022, the Department of Theory and History of International Relations of the RUDN University, together with the Institute of Post-Soviet and Interregional Studies of Russian State University for the Humanities, held the VIII International Scientific Conference "Russian Foreign Policy in the Eurasian Space".
Employees of the Center for post-Soviet Studies of IMEMO spoke at the event:
- Elena Kuzmina, Head of the Sector, Cand. of Science (Politics) – with the report "Economic Unity of Central Asia: Limitations and Opportunities”;
- Dmitry Malyshev, Lead Researcher, Cand. of Science (History) – with the report "Integration Initiatives for the Central Asian Region";
- Stanislav Pritchin, Senior Researcher, Cand. of Science (History) – with the report "Multivectorality of the Central Asian Countries at the Present Stage and Security Challenges".
This year the conference is thematically devoted to the development of the situation in the Central Asian region in the context of the formation of a new bipolarity. The conference coincided with the 25th anniversary of the Department of Theory and History of International Relations of the RUDN University.
The event was held in mixed format: at the RUDN University Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences and online at Zoom platform.
