On March 12, 2025, Tashkent – Astana Video Bridge was held at Sputnik Uzbekistan multimedia press center on the topic: “Energy Security and Prospects for Cooperation between Russia and Central Asian Countries”.

  • Stanislav Pritchin, Head of the Sector for Central Asia of the Center for post-Soviet Studies of IMEMO, Cand. of Science (History);
  • Bakhtiyor Ergashev, Director of the “Ma'no” Center for Research Initiatives;
  • in Astana: Akimzhan Arupov, Director of the Institute of World Economy and International Relations.

The speakers talked about how the geopolitical situation in Central Asia is changing and what new challenges are emerging for the region's energy security, as well as about joint projects between Russia and Central Asia in the energy sector, which could become the basis for sustainable development in the coming years.
