The third meeting of the Russian-Azerbaijani Expert Council (RAEC) on "Russian-Azerbaijani Relations in the XXI century: Strategic Partnership in the Context of Regional Security" took place on February 28, 2023 in Baku in the format of a conference, dedicated to the anniversary of signing the Declaration on Allied Interaction between the Russian Federation and the Republic of Azerbaijan.

The event was organized by the Russian International Affairs Council (RIAC) and the Center of Analysis of International Relations (CAIR) of Azerbaijan.

The meeting was attended by emploees of the Center for post-Soviet Studies of IMEMO:

Head of the Center, Cand. of Science (Politics) Eduard Solovyev in Session 3: Interaction between Russia and Azerbaijan in the Field of Strengthening Peace, Increasing Stability and Security on the Global and Regional Levels with the report “Formation of Regional Security in a Changing World Order: Challenges and Opportunities”,

Senior Researcher of the Center, Cand. of Science (History) Stanislav Pritchin moderated Session 2: A Year Later: The Significance of the Moscow Declaration for Bilateral Relations between Russia and Azerbaijan and Session 3: Interaction between Russia and Azerbaijan in the Field of Strengthening Peace, Increasing Stability and Security on the Global and Regional Levels with the report “Russia-Azerbaijan Relations in conditions of Geopolitical Turbulence”.

The event started with the presentation of a collection of articles by Russian and Azerbaijani experts titled "30 Years of Diplomatic Relations between Russia and Azerbaijan: the Traversed Path and a View into the Future", where Stanislav Pritchin made a presentation "The Geopolitical Situation in the Caspian Region from 2018 to 2023".
