Trends in the Development of the Present-day World Economy and International Relations: a Search for New Approaches

The IMEMO Young Scholars Association (SMUiS) held a Conference of Young Scholars on Trends in the Development of the Present-day World Economy and International Relations: a Search for New Approaches.
The aim of the conference was to improve and expand professional contacts between young scholars from research and educational institutions of Moscow and Central Russia. The conference offered young scholars an opportunity for an exchange of opinions on such important issues of the world economy and international relations as the current development of TNC; the impact of TNC on recipient economies; global governance; the evolution of wars at the turn of the 21st century and current trends in the peace-building process; post-positivist approaches to research on security problems; the impact of technological progress on the formation of the new world order, etc.
