The German-Russia meeting “Schlangenbad Talks” was held in Kranichstein (Germany) on April 26-29, 2018. The event was organized by the Russian branch of The Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung, the  Primakov National Research Institute of World Economy and International Relations, the Peace Research Institute Frankfurt (Das Leibniz-Institut Hessische Stiftung Friedens- und Konfliktforschung) and The Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung.

Chairman of the Board of The Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung and President of the IMEMO Alexander Dynkin addressed to the participants with the welcoming speech.

The main topic of the discussion was “Is it an endless escalation of the conflict? The Russia-Germany relations after the elections”.

Staff-members of the IMEMO A. Afontsev, S. Utkin and B. Frumkin made reports during the meeting.
