There was held the meeting of the Coordination Council for the Study of the innovative development of China and the Russian-Chinese cooperation of the Division on the Global Problems and International Relations of the RAS under the guidance of Academician Natalia Ivanova.

Member of the Coordination Council Academician Vasily Mikheev and Scientific Secretary of the Coordination Council Prof. Alexander Lomanov attended the event.

The participants paid great attention to the issue of the applicability of the concept of the international regime to the formation of the Russian-Chinese scientific and technological partnership. During the discussion there were raised such issues as the evaluation of the reciprocal complementation of the scientific and technical potential of Russia and China, the prospects of the development Russia-Chinese joint projects and of the entering the market of the third world countries with those projects. The importance of the improvement of the coordination mechanisms of the Russian-Chinese cooperation in the fields of science, technology and innovation, the necessity to enhance the role of the RAS in the named processes, as well as the vitality for the both parties of the task of training of the qualified personnel to ensure the success of bilateral cooperation in this field were pointed out.
