1359IMEMO RAN held the tenth conference (the second in 2012) of the IMEMO-NTI joint project on the problems and dilemmas of nuclear disarmament. The recent conference was titled «Perspectives of China’s participation in nuclear arms limitations». In the course of discussion a wide range of issues related to involving China in strategic offensive arms limitation and reduction were raised.
The participants in the discussion engaged in a comprehensive analysis of the Beijing’s policy and its long-term aims, nuclear program and the prospects of involving China in the nuclear arms control. A number of proposals of practical importance were made. The topic will be further developed and discussed in the booklet being prepared in Russian and English languages. The booklet will also be available at the IMEMO RAN official web-site. The presentation is scheduled for September 2012.
