1810September 29, 2016. The Russian version of SIPRI Yearbook 2015 “Armaments, Disarmament and International Security”, including the Special Supplement compiled by IMEMO experts, was presented.
The Russian edition of SIPRI Yearbook 2015, prepared under the joint project of the Primakov National Research Institute of World Economy and International Relations of the Russian Academy of Sciences (IMEMO) and the Stockholm International Peace Research Institute (SIPRI) was launched.
The event was opened by the introduction of the Head of the Center for International Security, Academician, Alexey G. Arbatov. The meeting was addressed by the Director of IMEMO, Academician, Alexander A. Dynkin. One of the founders of the project, head of Research at the Center for Situation Analysis of IMEMO RAN, Academician, Vladimir G. Baranovsky spoke at the opening of the event.
The presentation generated considerable interest. The event gathered about seventy representatives from ministries and specialized scientific research centers, various institutes of the Russian Academy of Sciences, NGOs and mass media.
