The international seminar “The restraint and the dialogue: strengthening of the European security and the arms control” will be held in the Conference-Hall of the IMEMO on June 20, 2016. 

The seminar will be dedicated to the presentation of the third report of the Commission on problems of the deep reduction of nuclear weapons. The partners-organizers of the Commission are the Primakov Institute of World Economy and International Relations, the Institute of Peace Research and Security Policy of the University of Hamburg (Germany) and the Arms Control Association (USA).

On the seminar there will be discussed such topics as: the European security, the nuclear weapon control, the implementation and the future of the START-3, and the Russia-US controdictions regarding to the  INF Treaty observance. Participants from Russia, Germany and the United States will make the main reports.

The working languages of the seminar are English and Russian (simultaneous translation is provided).
