The “Journal of International Analytics” (No. 2, 2025) published an article "Impatriation as a Phenomenon and a Direction of Development Policy (the Case of Russia)" by employees of the Department for Comparative Political Studies of the Center for Comparative Socio-Economic and Political Studies of IMEMO.

The publication by Sergei Arteyev, Research Fellow, Cand. of Science (Politics), Andrey Bardin, Research Fellow, Cand. of Science (Politics), Tatiana Popadeva, Research Fellow, Cand. of Science (Politics), Maxim Sigachev, Research Fellow, Cand. of Science (Politics), proposes a definition of the term "impatriant" within the context of related terms and the Russian migration model. The authors identify the specifics of value-based migration, analyze the interaction of political and economic factors in the implementation of the state impatriation policy of the Russian Federation. They place the problem in an international context by examining analogous foreign experiences, using the example of Poland and Hungary. In conclusion, the article offers recommendations for optimizing Russia's migration policy, strengthening its human potential and non-material factors of political and socio-economic development.
