Three years after the Taliban movement* came to power in Afghanistan, Russia's course in the Afghan direction has become more pragmatic and “Taliban-centric”. But despite the increase in Russian diplomatic and business activity, the key goal remains the neutralization of threats emanating from Afghan territory.
