79The journal "Bulletin of the Moscow University. Series 12. Political Sciences» (No. 1, 2025) published an article by Igor Zhukovsky, Senior Researcher of the Baltic Sea Region Integrated Research Group of the Center for Strategic Planning Studies, Cand. of Science (Politics), "Foreign Policy Analyses and Strategies in the Electoral Programs of the Candidates for the Presidency of Poland in 2025".
The main purpose of the article is to reveal the specifics of the 2025 presidential campaign in the Republic of Poland from the point of view of assessing the international situation of the country the country and foreign policy strategies contained in the programs of registered candidates. The author uses a method of comparative analysis of political platforms in combination with methods of qualitative political analysis and expert assessment. Analysis of the platform discussion in the 2025 presidential campaign leads to the following conclusions: candidates are approaching the publication of their fundamental views as a necessary (inertial) attribute of the election campaign, relying primarily on political communication tools, targeted advertising in social media, and political debates. In the 2025 campaign, foreign policy debates are actually absent from the electoral programs of the two leading presidential candidates. However, the candidates with no prospects in the presidential race paid considerable attention to foreign policy issues, including proposing a reconsideration of Poland’s relations with the European Union and its neighbors.
