The “Baltic Region” journal (No. 3, Vol. 17, 2025) published an article by Igor Zhukovsky, Senior Researcher of the Baltic Region Integrated Research Group, Cand. of Science (Politics), "Political and Strategic Factors and Risks of Implementing the Nuclear Energy Program in Poland".

Based on methods of systems and institutional analysis, this article is the first in Russian research to assess the political and strategic factors in implementing Poland's nuclear energy program, as reflected in strategic planning documents. The author examines the nuclear energy program as a multidimensional political and strategic project, paying attention to the specifics of accompanying domestic political processes, and, as an applied dimension of the study, identifies foreign policy implications and assesses the risks of implementing the program.
