The article “The strategy of the USA in the changing world order: the challenges for Russia” by Feodor Voitolovsky was published in the Herald of the Russian Academy of Sciences 2021, Vol. 91, ¹ 7, pages 616-626.

The international-political, the economic and the military-political conditions for the transformations of the way the US leaders and political elites implement the global leadership strategy are analyzed in the article. The author emphasizes how the economic, the political and the ideological prerequisites for the change of the status of the US in the world affect the international political ideology, the practice of the democratic and the republican administrations, as well as the approach of the Washington to development and implementation of the national security strategy. Special attention is paid to the attitudes of the US government towards the relations with China and Russia.This work discusses the key trends of American policy towards Russia in the first few months of the presidency of B. Obama, D. Trump and J. Biden.
