
Alexander Dynkin took part in the special project of the publishing house “Kommersant” called “30 years without the USSR”. He gave an interview about the consequences of the withdrawal of the Soviet troops from Germany, about the dangers of the high military spending and about the mistakes in relations with Ukraine.
“If Gorbachev had not come to power, the stagnation would have continued. This would have given rise to the protests. And if there hadn’t been an uprisings, then there would have been some kind of demonstrations on the outskirts of the country. The collapse would have been delayed, but it would have been more brutal and harsh than in the case of Gorbachev.”
