Joint Conference of RIAC and Indian Council of World Affairs in Moscow

On February 2, 2024, the Russian International Affairs Council and the Indian Council of World Affairs (ICWA) held a conference "Russia-India Specially Privileged Strategic Partnership: Challenges and New Opportunities in a Changing World Order". The event is aimed at a comprehensive assessment of the state of cooperation between Moscow and New Delhi in the global, regional and bilateral contexts.

The conference was held in three sessions devoted to various spheres of bilateral relations.

At the first session "Russia and India's Views on the Changing World Order" Alexey Kupriyanov, Head of the Center of the Indo-Pacific Region of IMEMO, took part in the discussion of the two countries' approaches to the transformation of the world order and the role of international institutions in this process.

The second session, "Economic Cooperation between Russia and India in a Broad Geopolitical Context", was addressed by Ivan Danilin, Head of the Department of Science and Innovation of IMEMO.

The sessions were moderated by Ivan Timofeev, RIAC Director General, Andrei Kortunov, RIAC Academic Director, Alexey Kupriyanov and Aleksei Zakharov, Research Fellow of the International Laboratory on World Order Studies and the New Regionalism of the HSE University.
