The session “The world economy: the new globalization or the new protectionism?” was held in the framework of the Discussion Club “Valdai” in Sochi on October 26, 2016.
Head of the Department of Economic Theory of the IMEMO Dr. Sergey Afontsev took part in the work of the session. During the session there was the discussion of the modern processes in the world economy and their importance for the development of the Eurasian space.
The next issue of the “MEMO Journal” (No. 3, 2025) is published. It opens with an article on the experience of systematic study of the discourse of intervention at the UN. The readers' attention will be drawn to the materials touching upon the problems of development in the post-Soviet space, including the Central Asian region, as well as analyzing the formation of the idea of patriotism in the agenda of the Union State of Belarus and Russia.
Natalia Romashkina presented a report “Malicious Use of Artificial Intelligence and Challenges to Nuclear Stability in the BRICS Countries: Military-Political and Information and Psychological Aspects” at the Roundtable “Malicious Use of Artificial Intelligence and Challenges to Information and Psychological Security of BRICS”.
