A seminar “Turkey-Iran rivalry at Mashriq (Iraq, Syria and Lebanon)”

Center for the Middle-East Studies held the fourth online seminar n.a. G. Mirsky in the year 2020. The topic of the seminar was “Turkey-Iran rivalry at Mashrik (Iraq, Syria and Lebanon)”.

Chief research fellow and Director of the Track II Dialogues initiative at the Middle East Institute, adjunct research fellow at the Foreign Policy Institute of The Johns Hopkins University Randa Slim made a report at the event.

The seminar was dedicated to the escalating conflict between Turkey and Iran in the Levant. There were discussed the main conflict-generating factors in the region, and the opportunities for the potential cooperation and for the situational alliances. On the basis of the outcomes of the report there was held the exchange of views between the participants of the meeting.
