On October 20, 2025, a Seminar of the Center for International Security of IMEMO on the US "Golden Dome" Missile Defense Project was held in the Academician Inozemtsev Conference Hall.

Speaker – Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Anatoly Antonov, Chief Research Fellow of the Center for International Security of IMEMO, Dr. of Science (Politics).

The topic of the report is "Golden Dome: Reality or Bluff".

The event was moderated by Academician Alexey Arbatov, Head of the Center for International Security of IMEMO, Dr. of Science (History).

The report and subsequent discussion discussed strategic and military-political aspects of the “Golden Dome’ missile defense project initiated by US President Donald Trump, including questions about key goals and objectives of this project, the structure and configuration of the prospective US missile defense system, including its space-based component, and the impact of the new US missile defense initiative on strategic stability and the progress of future nuclear arms limitation and control negotiations.

More than 40 employees of the Center for International Security of the Institute and other IMEMO departments participated in the event.
