On October 31, 2024, the Scientific Library of the Presidential Academy in St. Petersburg hosted the seminar “Development of the Eurasian Region: Interests of Participants and Internal Development Strategies” from the series of research seminars “Development of the Eurasian Region” organized by the Department of International Relations of the Faculty of International Relations and Politics of the Presidential Academy in St. Petersburg together with the Department of Regional Policy and Political Geography of St. Petersburg State University.

IMEMO employees made presentations at the event in the online format:

  • Elena Kuzmina, Head of the Sector of the Center for post-Soviet Studies, Cand. of Science (Politics) –  “Dynamics of Foreign Economic Strategies of Post-Soviet States”;
  • Alexey Kupriyanov, Head of the Center of the Indo-Pacific Region of IMEMO, Cand. of Science (History) – “India and Eurasia: Imperatives and Challenges of New Delhi in the Eurasian Space”.

The work of the research seminar is focused on interdisciplinary scientific understanding of the problems of development of the Eurasian region and constructive academic dialog between experts and young scientists.
