
On March 13, 2024, the 77th Meeting of the Scientific and Practical Seminar "The Caucasus in the Past and Present (Society and Politics, Economy and Culture)" was held at IMEMO.
The Seminar was moderated by Vadim Mukhanov, Head of Sector for the Caucasus of the Center for post-Soviet Studies of IMEMO, Cand. of Science (History).
Archil Sikharulidze, founder of the SIKHA FOUNDATION (Tbilisi, Georgia), delivered a report "Modern Georgia: from Radical Westernism to Conscious Georgianophilism".
His presentation was followed by a lively discussion, which was attended by representatives of IMEMO, Institute of Oriental Studies of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Institute of Russian History of the Russian Academy of Sciences, MGIMO University of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, Lomonosov Moscow State University, Institute of Ethnology and Anthropology of the Russian Academy of Sciences.
