Seminar “Europe after Trump's victory”

On December 16, 2024, The Discussion Forum “European Union in a Polycentric World” held a Seminar “Europe after Trump's victory”.

Presentations were made by:

  • 1. Alexey Gromyko, Dr. of Science (Politics), Corresponding Member of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Professor of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Director of the Institute of Europe 
  • 2. Sergey Kislitsyn, Cand. of Science (Politics) , Acting Director of Georgy Arbatov Institute for the US and Canada
  • 3. Alexander Kotov, Cand. of Science (Economics), Head of the Germany’s Economy Sector, of the Institute of Europe.

The aim of the project “European Union in a Polycentric World”, launched by the Department of European Political Studies of IMEMO in March 2023, is to discuss the political processes of European integration and analyze the most acute problems in the relationship between Russia and the European Union. The Discussion Forum is aimed at exploring the role of the EU in the international system and its relations with the main centers of power, as well as at studying changes in the political, economic and social life of European countries and searching for opportunities for interaction between Russia and the EU in the foreseeable future.

The working language is Russian.
