On December 3, 2025, the Center of the Indo-Pacific Region and the Sector for New Challenges in South and Southeast Asia at IMEMO co-hosted a roundtable discussion titled "Prospects for Russian-Indian Relations in Military Technologies and Defense." The event featured Vinay Shukla, Moscow correspondent and bureau chief of Press Trust of India, a leading news agency from this country. In addition to the institute's scholars, attendees included representatives from the Moscow-based Centre for Analysis of Strategies and Technologies and Centre for Comprehensive European and International Studies (National Research University–Higher School of Economics). The roundtable was moderated by Petr Topychkanov, Head of the Sector for New Challenges in South and Southeast Asia.
